Den re-construction and other changes

Feb 18, 2009 02:18

For the last few weeks, I've been renovating my room - a small (very small) room on the first floor that was initially supposed to be only a "den". This arrangement of ordaining this impossibly tiny room as "my" room has meant that I've had to sacrifice a bed due to space constraints. I've slept on the floor of the tv room for the last... oh, six ( Read more... )

that must be one of the most "overworked" rooms if ever there was one. poor "den"...

it's about time it had a facelift or other..

ikea has good small ones that don't take up much space... (=

yeah... the poor den... it's become sort of an icon, though. It's been reorganized and rearranged so many times in its history... I like it, though. And it really reflects the different needs I've had for it throughout my life. I wish I had documented the changes better.

you could get a loft bed, where you have computer/work space underneath your bed....?

I thought of that. I built one for Cal, but it was just never my thing. The big deciding factor was that sometimes my legs get really crippled and painful to the point where I can't even roll around in bed. When that happens, having a raised bed would be absolutely hell.

btw, are you still doing fashion?

yes, that would be a reason to not have a loft bed...maybe a futon-like contraption...?

currently, I am stuck in 9-5 office purgatory with little time for fashion, but I try and make time...it doesn't always work out to my advantaget though. why do you ask?

Oh, I ask because I'm doing a lot of photography now and was looking for fashion people who may have works they'd like to have shot. So, yeah, if you have anything done, or are planning on making work, I'd love to shoot some of it.

Besides, it's been, probably a decade since we've worked on a project together. Ah, the good old days...
