Older sister Cornelia... I-I'm all right. And I'd be delighted to see you again.

...

Brother left, didn't he? [her voice might be wavering a bit, but she's being strong]

[She notes the stutter and tiny wavering of her voice and Cornelia is silent for a moment, choosing her words carefully, because --despite everything-- she does want to protect her younger sister.]

The sentiment is mutual.

[And another pause.]

Judging by the information I have gathered about this world, it would seem that is the case. When was it that you last saw him?

A few days ago... but I thought he'd disappeared like he did last time again. But he really left this time.

That seems to be the case, your highness.

I see. And from your experience, how often would you say that this occurs? The comings and goings, that is.

The comings seem to be a lot more frequent than the goings, but both seem to be pretty random things. I've yet to find in pattern in either.

I have to wonder if the fae have less control over the departures. What would be the point of bringing us here, otherwise?

[Schneizel's expression, when he becomes visible, is impossible to read.]

As a matter of fact, it was brought to my attention shortly before seeing this.

I hadn't known whether or not to believe it, but this is certainly confirmation.

[She keeps her features very controlled, except for her eyes, which seem to be searching his expression.]

What do you propose we do? I would not feel comfortable leaving Nunnally to look after herself.

[But living together... in such small, unsophisticated quarters...

Her eyes shift, lowering so that her bangs obscure some of her face. It has been a long time since she looked after anyone. Anyone being Euphie. She's not even sure if she has the means to protect their sister from the fae, let alone any of the other dangers she has yet to uncover of the people also trapped in Demeleir.]

Will he... return?

It is a concern... It worries me, even, to know that you stay alone.

[He quietens - perhaps allowing those words to sink in. But he goes on after a moment, which might be considered merciful of him.]

With her disability, she is even more vulnerable. Perhaps a room at the inn could be taken for her, but even that wouldn't be suitable...

[His voice then hardens somewhat.]

As to Lelouch, I cannot speculate. We have no way of knowing.

[Herself? Cornelia is puzzled by that statement. She will be fine. She is no less safe than he is, or Guilford, or anyone else who is human, for that matter.]

The inn? Would necessary assistance be provided to accommodate her condition?

[But he is right. Even that wouldn't be suitable. Nunnally has never been alone. Someone has always been there to take care of her. Someone familiar.]

I will... look after her. [At least until she knows the absence of their brother is not an emotional hindrance to their younger sister. For now, it's the least she can do.] How do the fae make decisions about who is brought here and who is returned?

Whose disappearance are you investigating? [ He assumed this was in part Watch business, as much as something she was motivated to do to keep tabs on certain denizens. Guilford even had a good idea of who this is about, but he has not yet checked the list, himself. ]

[The moment she noticed his name was gone, she felt relief. A reaction that was somewhat surprising. She didn't have the opportunity to speak to Lelouch about the circumstances surrounding the period of time Guilford was under the influence of Geass, but as long as he is gone, she does not need to be concerned about his will being compromised.]

It was my brother, Lelouch.

[ A pause. ] I see.

[ He should sound relieved, but he found himself more skeptical than anything. ] This is, for certain, no trick of his doing?

Unfortunately, we are uncertain at the moment. It seems that people appear and disappear regularly. And there have been some occasions when they have returned.
