The time has come to build a website. Something a freelance musician really ought to have, actually.

So, flisters with websites, where did you register your domain names? Anyone that offers particularily good service? Anyone that I should avoid at all costs?

I use http://www.gandi.net/ to register domains and 34sp as a host, having previously used Dreamhost. I loved dreamhost. I just cannot justify the non-first-time-member cost for the bandwidth that my site uses.

I get all my domains at godaddy.com but JUST the domain. FOr a website, that would be different. Depends on what experience you have/how much you want to pay/what you want to do. Mine are all hosted at squidge.org Walter has been the greatest. But, you need to know coding and how to FTP. Not difficult.

Be glad to help with basics. Got a fannish friend who has done Pro websites. She may be willing to help.
