Wow. You've just summed up what a lot of people are feeling right now. I mean A LOT.

And I do the same thing that outcastspice said about watching TV!Grissom and pretending that he's Your!Grissom!!! YAY!!! 'Cos your Grissom is the way I see him.

Only just found your post a few minutes ago - Podga directed me to 'CSI Gazette'.

Not much to say - except that you're exactly right. I've come late to CSI (LV only!) and have watched all the series back to back courtesy of Amazon. I feel that the deterioration is very evident watching them continuously. In defence of the writers (although I'm not really on their side) sustaining a series over seven and now eight seasons must be excruciatingly difficult -if not impossible - if you judge the demise of other long standing shows.

My only real hope for S8 is the death of Sara - if the press speculation on JF's behaviour is correct, (and, of course, one has to make a huge leap of faith to actually believe any press speculation is the truth.....) then she should be fired anyway. I know there is a huge body of fans that see them as the OTP...but I'm aghast....WP has more chemistry with his spectacles than he does with JF. (Mind you I'm a slasher, so I am biased!!)

Sorry to rant....but it's good to vent.....I feel better...deep
