Tifa Amigurumi

Jul 12, 2010 21:42

I'm quite proud of this crochet Tifa doll. It took me a day to do the body and another day for the hair. I think it would be better if her skin tone were a little darker, but I couldn't find a peach color yarn. My next project is to make a Cloud amigurumi. Wish me luck on that one because his spiky ass hair will one heck of a challenge.

Hi!

Lol, so this is a bit random, but I'm a bit random myself. I think you're one of demonegg's friends so I've seen you on her journal. I think this doll is so cute! I've always wanted to try amigurumi, but the sad truth of the matter is that I can't read the instructions. . . Did you make that design yourself? I imagine there aren't too many crochet instructions for a Tifa doll.

I crochet myself. Well, lol, I'm not very good. I bought myself a book so that I could learn a few things. I actually only know one stitch >_< I just started doing it last year. Well, I did it in highschool too. My mom taught me one stitch and I've been doing that one since :P I've made a few scarves and used my Cloud plushie as a model :P If you want to see, here's some pictures: http://chibipinkbunny.livejournal.com/2741.html... )

Thanks. I found a general doll instructions and used it as a base for Tifa. Unfortunately I don't think I can finish Cloud doll, at least until I can figure how to make his hair. A friend of mine suggested using troll's hair, lol.
I'll definitely check out some of your crochet works.
