I'm not done. YET. (The desire for sleep wasn't impressed by the medal incentive.) However, I'm determined to press on until I have completed my task. Who's with me?
I'm with you on that one. Although I will admit my enthusiasm has wained. I'm going to try to have it finished by the time the Paralymplics start on March 10th. Giving myself one more weekend of knitting time.
I'm aiming for the next couple of days, I want it DONE. LOL
Also, I have to get started on a Clapotis for a friend whose b-day is 3/10. It just so happens that I procrastinating on choosing the yarn, so the order won't be here until Wednesday or Thursday.
totally! i'm attempting to finish mine before the 1st of march, figuring that is the number of days added from days i lost due to late mailing of needles + studying for my very important medication certification test :D
I knew it was time to concede when I was making a mess of the neckline, just to get it done. I had to ask myself, Do you want to get it done for getting done's sake, or make something you'd be willing to wear in public, as per the original plan?
I can live without a medal if it means I get sweater pride out of the deal. So I have to rip out what I started of the neckline, finish the neckline, finish and attach the sleeves, and then finish up with the side seaming. The neckline's a breeze, it's just picking up the stitches to do the stupid thing that's giving me fits. If I give myself tonight to do the neckline, I can take tomorrow to get the sleeves a bit longer (I think I'd prefer elbow-length instead of cap sleeves) and work the shoulders. Then Wednesday really is all about finishing.
Yeah! I fell in love with the color, and I'm itching to wear it. I have a little wait, though, as it's a spring sort of sweater (shorter sleeves) and we're having a cold spell.

I just put in a rush order to Knitpicks. My next project is Clapotis as a gift, and the birthday is March 10th.
