I don't know what those specific yarns are like, but usually with odd skeins, I'll make scarves or purses/pouches. It depends a bit on how much is in the skein. If the Sierra Pacific Crafts (the one that uses 6mm needles) is a larger skein with about 150 mm, you could probably make either a set of mittens or a set of half-gloves.

They might also be good yarns to accent something. So if you're making a fun hat, you could use these to do the brim or the top of the hat. If you're making a purse, you could trim the edges with it. If you're making a scarf, do the ends or the tassles or something. Etc.

I forgot to mention that I knew you said you didn't want to do scarves with them, but that I was just listing the sorts of things that I've done with one skeins. If you do decide to get rid of the skeins, you might want to see about donating it to one of the various charity knitting projects that are out there.

I forgot to mention that another thing to do with odd skeins is to trade them with friends who have different odd skeins but who like yours better. I've also used them to teach other people to knit (just give them the skein and all they need to buy is a set of needles). That only works if they're not hard to work with yarns.

Hey, thanks for the advice. Those all sound like great ideas. A bunch of friends of mine want to learn how to knit so I'll probably use it for that, or make mittens. Thanks for the ideas!
