Introducing myself

Hiya! I am Luna Moody, and I am a beginning knitter. I have been knitting almost 2 years now (veeeeerrrrrryy slowly, admittedly.) and have very few knitters in my (real) life. So... Its quite difficult to block acrylic because it rebounds to its original position, however i'm not sure what % of natural fiber you would need before it will block properly, you can always try and see how it goes...but it usually doesn't work as well as all natural fibers

Thanks, I have never tried to block anything before so I wasn't sure. My favorite LYS lady suggested instead of a thourogh blocking, to try gently spreading it out on the table over a dry towel, then taking another towel getting it wet with very hot water, wringing it thouroughly and laying it over top for a couple of hours and see how that works. The yarn sleave thing says it is machine washable so, we'll see how it goes.

I'm with iriam, acrylic doesn't block very well, if at all. But with the wool in it, I really don't know.
Good luck with your scarf. Be sure to post some pictures of it when you're done. I would love to see it!
