A/N: For the P100 challenge 309: It's A Jungle Out There. An idea from a song called 'Its A Jungle Out There' by Three Dog Night. Thanks to Fred for looking this over for me, cheers m'dear.
Helen kept her back to the wall as she observed, noting the similarities in the behaviour of her current subjects to half a dozen other creatures she'd watched throughout time. The desperation of males showing off to females, indicating their prowess and fitness in the search for mates.
She snorted softly into her beer.
And humans called themselves civilised, thought themselves so far above other animals. Civilisation was noting more than window dressing on the truth - only the fittest survived, mated and had offspring. Life was a jungle and humanity had forgotten that... maybe the anomalies would change that.
