Lester sipped his morning coffee and took several seconds to notice Connor at the table. “What are you eating?”
“Pizza.” Connor looked up, a string of cheese dangling from his lips. “Oh, it's my pepperoni, jalapeno and onion from last night.”
“For breakfast?”
“Yes.”
“Cold?”
“Tasty.”
Lester shook his head. “There is a selection of nutritious food you could have and you choose cold, leftover pizza?”
Connor frowned as he watched Lester sort out his own breakfast. “Want some?”
“For the...” Lester eyed his healthy options before glancing at the remains of the pizza. "If you have a spare slice?”
