“Ah, Captain Becker.” Becker suppressed a wince before he turned towards Lester, knowing his boss had noticed when an elegant eyebrow arched upwards before he nodded. “Becker.”
“Sir,” Becker acknowledged, his gaze darting around the ARC, it might be a new building but it still brought back painful memories. Lester had only given him one task when he'd joined and Becker had failed - Abby, Connor and Danny were lost, presumed dead, in the past. Sarah was dead and it was his all fault.
What he didn't understand was why Lester had given him a second chance to fuck up again?
