Thanks! Yes, I just bought that basil & it is divine! I've already used it in a garlic/herb pasta dish. These sweet peas don't actually give off edible peas, but the blossoms are pretty.
my mom collected the seed pods one year from a hill near her house, & I planted them last year in the garden. This year it has become a wild weed garden, as we planned to move the bed, but never got around to it. However, those sweet peas from last year have grown up again and take up a little patch of the wilderness.
Oh, I don't think you should see it this year. I've really let it go to weed, but some of the hardy perrenials like the sweet peas are fighting through the weeds. I also have some lavender, rosemary, and other assorted pretties which seemingly need to attention to thrive. I got discouraged last year when all my lovelies got attacked non-stop by bugs. This year I haven't actually been out gardening, but I think when I do, it will be to plant lots more no-fuss plants like the lavender, and then next year it will look a lot nicer.
