Gorgeous, clear photos and excellent notes make Sleepsong a happy snarker. I'm also a huge fan of Meg Swansen's, so bonus points for doing one of her shawls.

This was something nice to oversleep and wake up to.

Oh I fully second this as a praise to balance the snark. I also love how clearly happy she is with her hard work. Good stuff. And "Fly shawl, fly" just made me smile.

Agreed! Beautiful work and beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing the love -- this is why I prefer this comm to any of the "regular" knitting ones. ^_~

Ditto, that post was definitely worth checking out. Gorgeous FO and equally gorgeous photos. I think I'm going to take my current project (a rather large embroidery piece I've been working on since '2001) outside with a glass of ice tea and enjoy the gorgeous weather we're having rather than sitting inside at the computer.

I wish I could do that... Pittsburgh is perpetually cloudy and rainy, and I'm worried about bringing my knitting outside and getting stuck in a sudden downpour.

It's another one of those cases where the picture in the book did not impress me at all, but some random stranger on the internet made it look so much nicer.

I might have to make this one.
