The very reason I believe this to be plausible is because he has not been found so far, nor has he tried to contact his loved ones. If he is indeed alive, then it is very likely that he has very few memories. Depending on how strong the spells to his mind were, there could be some remaining memories, but without context they would be very confusing.

No doubt his life is very confusing indeed, remaining memories or not. I can only imagine what sort of situation he has found himself in, and how he has been able to survive. I am sure that he is still out there, Hestia, and that memories or not he is looking for something or someone too.

Well, I suppose it's better than a lot of other possibilities. At least I know to keep looking, that's good. Even if he won't know me when I find him, at least I still can find him.
