Well, I'm all holed up in Virginia while my Californian cohorts are enjoying this month's reminder of global warming. It's been good knitting weather out here, though, and my spirits are lifted with reruns of 30Rock and The Office and Law and Order whenever I want thanks to Netflix's Watch Instantly feature

and doggies assisting with the knitting is priceless. thank you, tommydog. i remember that banjo sweater. yes, yes i do. it's pretty cute. can't wait to see kincaid's sweater on him.
i like the idea of the bright primary colors for the blanket. babies don't really understand colors at first and bright colors are more interesting when they start to really look around them. so i'm told.
and i will expect you to buy me a copy of that book when we have kids. if you don't, i will be very, very sad.

Tommy is so helpful. You have no idea. So far this trip he has only once nosed into my backpack when I forgot to zip it up all the way and taken out a ball of yarn to treat it like a toy. Luckily it's a washable yarn and wasn't attached to any particular project at the time. And Tommy's so darn sweet, he's hard to scold.
And, dude, I am going to go hog wild when you two start popping out the babies. If I could afford to, I'd be stockpiling copies of Heater Has Two Mommies now just in case it goes out of print or becomes banned again.

Re stockpiling the book, it toastally occurred to me to do that with a bunch of books... it scares me when they go out of print and i overreact a wee bit ;)
