One of my Christmas presents from my mother was a copy of Free Range Knitter, by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee (aka, The Yarn Harlot). Aside from her blog, I'd never read anything of hers before, but I had been intrigued enough by her published books to add them to my Amazon Wish List. i was listening to Stephanie Pearl McPhee's "At Knits End" and had to stop listening to it in public. I felt like a complete idiot walking around and laughing and giggling to myself.

I wish I could listen to podcasts. I can do Garrison Keillor, probably because I grew up listening to him, but Lime and Violet irritate the shit out of me. Maybe I should try the Yarn Harlot's podcasts to see if I do better with those. I have the same problem with books on tape.

I've been listening to Garrison Keillor's podcasts for writers. they're short. interesting. the things i've been listening to from Yarn Harlot are her audiobooks, which really are a hoot, but i wish I could bookmark sections or highlight the paragraphs, which isn't as feasible in an audiobook, really.

and the new tag is fantastic. i love it. i might have to use it myself sometime.
