Commitment issues

Still haven't found the perfect cape pattern.  Maybe I'm not really committed to a cape.  As Stephanie Pearl-McPhee says in her Knitting Rules, "Socks and hats are fun and, in their elevated forms, can certainly be artful, but sweaters [and by extension, capes] are like a marriage (or at least an engagement."  Ok, I've done a baby sweater, which by ( Read more... )

I'm sure you will find a pattern eventually. I wish I had something to suggest but I don't think I have a cape pattern in my pattern box. Sweaters, yes, socks, yes, but no capes. I really like how you put that "but sweaters are a marriage." I know they are for me, because I never can do ANYTHING quickly.

I've been knitting since I was six I don't make socks very often, but I love the challenge of turning a heel. I love the picture of your socks. They are so neat.

I found you by way of fluterbev's journal. Isn't she wonderful? What fandom stories do you read? I absolutely adore The Sentinel, and love flutterbev's Three Spirals. She can MaryJane her Irish house all she wants!!
