I almost felt like sitting back and waiting until someone else had posted their piece first, but then I decided to bite the bullet and go for it. :D I have no clue whether the upper crust traditionalists still consider bird shooting to fashionable in the US, but if not, let's chalk that one up to artistic licence. Thank you for posting it. I have been beating my brains and all i ever got was:"Patrick was absentmindedly going through the pages of the Ralph Lauren Fall catalog."

I don't know about the shooting either but what a pretty picture: Patrick Bateman all dressed-up for a hunting party. Brown shoes, Burberry's scarf, 100% wool beret; a bunch of hunting knives, an expensive shotgun.

that last line ...which let his more careful nature take a backseat to the clown's infectious recklessness. that's so cool

I like some fluff and schmoop between Joker and Patrick.You know, after a kill.They're so romantic at heart.

No, thank you for setting my mind at ease. :D You seemed to get everything I was going for and not be bothered by the fluff, which came as a surprise even to me while writing it.

I really had to restrain myself to keep from making even a reference to Patrick's naturally stylish and elegant country gentleman's outfit, because I knew it would escalate until I had closer to 1500 words. We just know he'd get such a kick out of having more expensive and better cut designer tweeds than the rest of the party.

Well, now that I've got this up, hopefully you and the others will get their creative juices flowing as well.

Oohhh loved loved loved this! The Joker is so sweet packing up some turkey for his Pat and coming out to meet him at the hunting club ^_^ This is really terrific! Thank you so much!

Awwww! Just awww. This is so awesome. It's lovely, crazy and an odd kind of extremely adorable. Despite the situation, I think your Patrick-voice is spot on, making that ending even more warm-and-fuzzy. In the best way, of course! :D

I love how horribly disgusting the turkey was! Ha, I can totally see the Joker "cooking" something up like that. And aw, it was so adorable how hopeful he was! And Patrick's 'delicious' at the end was so....awwwww. Wow, I can't stop 'awing'. Awesome job!

Who would've guessed that Patrick would know such a silly joke? Then again, there's no saying what sorts of things he's picked up during these meetings with the Joker.

Such a great and funny little ficlet. I'm sure Patrick's day will be much improved, because that ending is so very, very awesome.
