*sigh*

Reading some articles about the tiger incident this morning, it appears there was after hours taunting and legs being dangled into the enclosure involved. I think the remaining brothers should serve out a sentence dressed as tigers in said enclosure that will last the remains of the tigers natural life.

zoos don't actually educate the public - researchers have found that folks who visit zoos do so for entertainment, not for education - even kids on school trips usually leave not even sure what species they've seen. Research has also shown that people's respect for animals actually goes down after a visit to the zoo - there's something deflating about seeing all those wild animals boxed up for human amusement. So there is a solution to this - stop going to zoos, stop supporting them! Instead, support sanctuaries, which are healthier, happier places for animals to live than zoos could ever hope to be.
