The first day of 2011 is ending, and before it ends, I'll do up my goodbye 2010 post. :>
So 2010 was shy of uneventful by so much. It was the most hectic year I've had yet. I've so many people and so many things to be thankful for this year.
So 2010 started off with me being posted to AJC, had a big fight with my parents over going to SA and AJ. Wound up going to AJ against my wishes, but I think that's the best decision I've made in my life, right after deciding to stay in Crescent at the end of Sec 1. Spent the first few weeks with the best orientation group ever - OG38. Definitely made a few good friends in there, including Veronica, Joanna, Sean, Hilmi, Kaiyuan etc. We wound up hanging out together even after we got banded into our classes. Didn't really fit into my class at first, thank god I manage to find the weirdest but nevertheless most awesome bunch of people - Lakshmi, Joey, Asyraf, Daniel and Yanbing. They were probably the people I most didn't expect myself to be such good friends with. But 37/10 is definitely awesome :>
And then there was Sports Club recruitment camp, I was praying so hard that I would get in because I couldn't imagine myself fitting in anywhere else. Thank God I did get in, and I found my bestest friend ever - Jeannie Teo. I wouldn't be who I am without her really, she helped me through every single hard time I had this year and I thank God everyday for her. Of course I wouldn't forget the Sports Club girls whom I've grown to love, and Sports Club as a whole. We're one big family and I love the feeling of being around you people, even if it's just dinner, and during trainings. Dragonboating SEP will never be forgotten. Not forgetting winning gold at nationals this year, defending champs ftw. :>
Yunnan trip in June was definitely spastic and unforgettable, the whole tour group was lovable except for a very 'special' someone who happened to like me and it became the biggest joke of the century I could've died from embarrassment and humiliation, something happened one of the nights which will be the secret I will never tell hahaha. Nevertheless, an enjoyable trip.
Beijing trip in September with my sisters was big big big big love. :>
I've found friends I would never give the world for - Punny, Ama, Shao, Michy, Joshie and embraced the importance of family with dad being posted to Beijing and mum flying up there to visit him ever so often. The 20 days spent in Korea and Beijing in December were the best ever and I wouldn't trade anything for it, though the trip was so long omg.
This year, I lost someone I treasured and cherished, however I also found out it is possible to hate someone so much you feel like ripping them to shreds. It happens to be the same person I once cherished. Then I realised the person I love has always been right there for me, in front of me, yet it took me a whole round before I realised. I became closer to the friends I thought I'd never be close to again, and I haven't regretted my decision at all. Finally, the year ended with me gaining a friend, someone I used to dislike. :)
2010 has taught me to love and cherish with all my heart, to let go what's not meant to be yours, and to learn to take risks. :)
