No work today.  Barring my HR department changing their mind, I have to use around 4 weeks of vacation time between now and August 31st.  So, I've taken to using random days off in order to keep working on the house.  Over the last two weeks I've been redoing my bedroom, as well as trying to get the outside ready for summer and the inevitable BBQs ( Read more... )

NICE! That's a much better, more manly ceiling fan.

How've you been Jen? It's been a while since we did the chatting.

The little lady and I are possibly plotting a SF trip this summer, but it's kind of up in the air. I'll let you know if it comes to pass...

Wow, have you seen that ceiling fan often? I looked in a couple of places that specialized in ceiling fans, and they had some really trippy fans that used real bamboo and such in the coverings. They looked far more awesome than the one I got, but then again, they were like 3 or 4 times the price.

I'm going to need all the luck in the world doing the living room and hallway. It's a big job, and I'm kind of hoping to have it done soon-ish. Maybe mid-july is a realistic ballpark?

I'm in the midst of trying to pick colors at the moment. I want it to be lively, but not too lively.

I'm excited you're moving up here!
