This past Sunday Katie and I headed out west toward Gallup, New Mexico, which is right at the Arizona border. We didn’t make it. We stopped at a Visitor’s Center near the town of Grants, some fifty miles or so short of Gallup, and were so intrigued by some of the things we learned that we diverted our route and did some hiking
