The 4th is a big holiday for my neighborhood.  The night before is full of revelry and parties well into the night, much laughter and loud raucous noises can be heard until the wee hours of the morning.  Generally the constabulary is called to cruise the neighborhood about 3am asking those still outside to continue in their own homes with the

Many beers were had... the neighbors did not disappoint.... and most of us have been drinking since 10AM! I love living in the Willows!

The parade

I miss the Horribles parade. And the Willows. I'm wearing my 2004 Juniper Point tank today. Skipped the local parade - slept late. I've picked up R's nasty cold, and I'm hacking. Today has just been a day off - much needed. Tomorrow I'm hoping I'll feel better so I can get to packing the last few things that are strewn around, and I'll spackle the holes in the walls. That I should do shortly after I wake up, when I have energy. The more the day goes on, the more my throat hurts, and the more tired I get.
