Does anyone else wonder why Disney made a special package for Pirates of the Carribean One and Two on DVD? I mean, there's going to be another movie, right? So basically they are just putting this out there in hopes that people will be distracted by the shiny DVD package and buy it, and then buy one for all three movies in another year or two?

but i liked the second pirates movie :( not as a work of art, but as cheap summer entertainment. it had some good lines ("*currency* is the currency of the realm, mr. swann.") and...i really liked the ending. because he finally got his apple! i mean granted, it was much worse than its predecessor BUT there was more character development (hey, captain jack really IS a bad person! hey, norrington really WAS bitter towards will!) and basically, i'm going to withhold judgment on the trilogy as a whole until i see the third one. because if you watched the first star wars, then empire, and there was no jedi, you'd be all "empire strikes back was such a retarded movie" but when you know its place in the whole it's like everyone's favorite, or something, right?

but kiera kaera keara Elizabeth Swann was totally a Mary Sue (or a Britny) so i definitely see where you're coming from on that one... =D
