Buffy is considered fun in general, and someone who can look after herself. No real attachment, but he has no reason to dislike her, and she makes with the amusing much of the time. Since there seems to be little he can milk her for, Kabuto is content to just be generally friendly, but not bother trying to get any closer than that.

Haha, I really should do something in the near future to amend that "not a fighter" view many people seem to have of her XD.

(She is a fighter, but she chooses to hide it because it's "not ladylike" XD.)

Mori gets noted mostly for three things, one that she freaks out nicely, that she has that Mobile of hers, and that she is an affiliate of Ueki and Robert. Thus, he is looking to be friendly in order to see/provoke more of the first, study the second, and know more on the third.

Excel... well, initially she was viewed as a potential source of entertainment, like a puppy dog begging to be kicked, but now she has actually grown on him. She creates chaos that he can sit back and watch, which does not run the risk of causing campwide emo or make more work for him. He also appreciates her zany outlook, and views her as an actual friend of sorts. Or a pet.

Ryuuken... Kabuto likes, though he will never say it out loud, having a doctor about who seems utterly professional. Their conversations have always been cordial, and it looks like if he ever wanted more material on Uryuu (for gentle needling, most likely), the elder Ishida would be a good place to go.
