lately ive had no time/motivation to write. between school and the other myriad of bullshit, i just havent felt like it. and when i do feel like it, i cant write cuz its like 1 am and im sleepy. i read that lotsa ppl get most of their studio work done late at night. i cant do that shit. i write during the day, at night i zone the fuck out most of

i dont think i have a set time for writin. not payin attention in class usually brings nice verses, as does ridin buses and trains and skateboards. sometimes bikes. nights is usually reserved for producin or freestylin (i should put "tryina" in front of both). mmmmm cyphers..

Pussy Galore is the shit too. lol, i can still remember folks' reactions to the title. cats keep lettin that "conscious artist" label blind them to the music so much that they end up missin out on it. be careful as an emcee, you get more than one dimension and you might make some folks dizzy.

im feelin that verse, too. i say keep the pope in the rhyme, but you know me and religion (specially catholicism..). still, from as unbiased a point of view that i can pull off, it shouldnt be that terrible. specially since folks might not get exposed to this very verse til well after they get over the late pope.

and last but not least..

id write during class but for some reason i always try then cant get nething written b/c i have beat to base the rhyme off of. a couple times ive written 4-bar openings to rhymes during class. im just too polite to leave my headphones on while the teacher talks. i used to get my best rhymes in the shower or on the can, but at school my bathroom sucks so much im just thinkin bout finishin to get out, not hip-hop.

and ya i have been that guy. its a work out, a painful one. one where u wonder if ur balls will be sore afterwards. but i feel like a bitch if i complain so i just deal with it and pretend to be havin the time of my life.
