i havent written much of anything lately before yesterday night. i just been apathetic. nto that i aint been doin shit, but i been more gettin some business done as far as school and connections and music. im on campus again, so when i weather this transition ill get more done ( Read more... )

where did you find these new cats? you gotta put them on a song to find out how good they are. i think young spade's a nice name, cept for the 'young' thing, it's old, as well as prophet.. really not too original
btw, i got my page @ soundclick, it's not cleared yet, i uploaded my quick verse over commons go, if you got time, pls check it out, i know i can trust you in that kinda thing :)

thats exactly what ima do wit spade and prophet. and u right bout spade's name, im not feelin the young part. but prophet is straight wit me, he coulda used a less common word but oh well.

soon as its cleared and i got some time to give it my attention ill check ur shit out.

ur verse was good, i see how u tried to go in the same vein of common, his cadence(i guess that the right word) and rhythm. only thing is ur mic skills, literally ur mic skills. sometimes ur too far, sometimes too close. im guessin that u hold the mic in ur hand, not spittin to a mic stand. neway if u get ur delivery on point ull be pretty good. im biased against ur song tho cuz i dont like common's go

yeah, your guess was right, I was actually holdin the mic in my hand covering this metal net (shit I dunno the word for the place where the sound goes to) with my hand, so the sound wouldn't disperse and be like more concentrated but of course I had moments where I held it too far or too close or just spit it louder. But I didn't really spend much time on it - bout 20 minutes on writing the verses and actually recording it, took bout 4 takes to record the voice more or less properly and that's it.. it was meant to be more like a gimmick really. then I decided to post it up
My friend's about to set up a lil studio this might make me record something better. But thanks anyway man that's the kinda critique I needed)
