~Picture Perfect~
Kame smiled softly as he looked at the old photo album of him and Jin during their junior days. The pictures contained their smiling faces and expressed the strong bond they had left behind years ago. They had gone from friends to associates in what seemed like the blink of an eye to Kame, and he didn't understand why. He and Jin barely spoke to each other, and when they did it was awkward and short. No matter how hard Kame prayed, it was clear that things wouldn't be the same between him and Jin. So he turned to the photo album for comfort.
He turned the page and smiled at their famous kissing shoot. Both of them looked carefree and happy.
"What I wouldn't give to go back to the way we were," Kame thought, smiling sadly.
There was a knock at the dressing room door and Kame jumped and quickly put away the photo album. He spun around and saw Jin standing at the doorframe.
"What were you doing?" he asked, curiously.
"N-nothing," Kame said. "What is it?"
"Junno's back with the food," Jin replied. "So you can come eat now."
Kame nodded and followed Jin into the lounge, taking a seat between Koki and Ueda on the floor. He thanked Junno as the boy passed him a box and began to eat, soon engaging Ueda in conversation. He became so distracted he didn't notice a pair of medium brown eyes watching him, and eventually the man in which the eyes belonged to got up and left the room.
Akanishi Jin crept into the dressing room and opened the drawer Kame had closed minutes ago. He pulled out the photo album (which was still open in Kame's haste to conceal it) and laughed.
"So this is what he didn't want me to see," he said to himself, grinning as he gazed at the pictures of their 'kisses'. "I haven't seen these in years."
Jin sat on the stool in front of the vanity and flipped through their pictures, the smile not leaving his face. As he looked, he thought of all the memories he and Kame shared. The laughter and smiles were all signs of their friendship, a friendship that Jin wanted to evolve into much more.
But now it was a severed friendship as Johnny's warnings about their attachment had reached their peak, and Jin was sent to America in order to separate the two. He was forced not to contact Kame in any way and naturally when he returned to Japan the younger man was hurt and confused. Jin hated seeing him that way, but knew that explaining things wouldn't fix six months of silence. So an invisible barrier began to grow between them, and the silence thickened. A silence Jin wanted to end with all his heart.
"But maybe ending it with a camera would be better," Jin thought grinning.

Kame slid back into the dressing room and opened the drawer to find that the photo album was gone. A note was in its place.
I knew it.
"What in the world?" Kame said, confused.
"I thought you'd look again, Kame-chan."
Kame turned to see a smiling Jin leaning against the door frame. His heart pounded: Jin had used his old nickname.
"J-Jin!" he squeaked.
"Looking for this?" Jin asked, holding up the photo album.
"How did you?"
"I snuck in here while you were talking to Tat-chan," Jin replied, walking towards him. "I was thinking we could look at it together, if that's okay with you."
Kame blinked.
"Really?" he asked.
Jin laughed and sat on the floor.
"Really," he said, patting the carpet next to him.
Kame sat next to him and Jin rested the photo album on his right knee, Kame's left. The two took turns turning the pages and laughing at each other's weird hairstyles, poses and facial expressions. It was as if their separation had never happened.
Finally they reached the kiss photo shoot, and Jin smiled.
"I think I like this one the best," he said, pointing to one of the photos:
"That was my favorite too," Kame said, laughing. "You looked so freaked out!"
"I remember when the shoot was over and the camera man kept calling us a couple."
"And we yelled at him to shut up," Kame added.
"I think we scarred him for life with the angry faces we gave him," Jin replied smiling, and Kame laughed.
"But you know Kazu," Jin began. "This photo album is missing something."
"What's that?" Kame asked, feeling a chill down his spine as he realized Jin was much closer to him than before.
"A recent photo," Jin replied, leaning in and kissing Kame. Kame's eyes went wide as Jin snapped a picture.
"There!" Jin exclaimed, smiling and looking at the picture he just took. "Cute huh?"
"J-J-Jin," Kame stuttered out. "Why did you?"
"Shall I do it again to help you comprehend?" Jin asked, smiling.
"Jin -"
But Jin cut off Kame by kissing him again, lingering much longer. It was if he were trying to let out the feeling he had held inside of him for years. Kame wrapped an arm around Jin and pulled him closer, melting at the contact.
The need for oxygen caused them to break apart. Jin rested his forehead on Kame's.
"I'm sorry Kazu," he said. "I'm sorry about everything. Can you forgive me?"
"Hmm . . . let me think . . ." Kame said with a smile on his face. "No."
Jin laughed.
"Then let me change your mind," he said tickling him.
"Hahahaha okay! I've changed my mind!" Kame replied giggling.
Jin laughed and snapped a picture of him.
"Okay let me take one of you now," Kame said and Jin handed him the camera. "Say cheese!"
But Jin stuck his tongue out at the camera and Kame laughed as he took the picture.
"You look like a dork," Kame said and Jin laughed as he saw the photo.
"Alright my turn now," he said. "Pose Kazu."
Meanwhile, T-TUN was watching them from the door.
"Looks like AkaKame's back," Ueda said grinning and Maru nodded in agreement, mirroring his smile.
"It's about damn time," Koki muttered.
The End!
