Summary: Sehun loves the moments when they're even, and even the moments when they're not.
Author's Note: I hope you all like it!
Sehun towers over her by almost thirty centimeters, but somehow she always finds a way to make him feel small. And although each pat on the head and pinch on the cheek assure him that she will always be at a height that he can never reach, he arrives at her house every single afternoon without fail.
"Well look at you," she says with a grin when she answers the door, and Sehun forces himself to smile though he knows where this is going. "Leather jacket, white t-shirt, blue jeans, and spotless white sneakers…someone's trying hard to be cool."
"Noona," he says exasperatedly, rolling his eyes and swatting at her hand as she pinches his cheek for what seems like the hundredth time in the past week. She laughs and lets him go.
"Alright, I'm sorry," she says amused as Sehun rubs the reddening spot on his face. She reaches towards the sepia end table behind her and picks up a large brown bag, and Sehun groans as she sits it in his arms.
"You know, I could always give it to Jongin," she says thoughtfully. "He likes homemade lunches, doesn't he?"
"No," Sehun says and she grins as he flushes in embarrassment at the speed of his outburst.
"That's what I thought," she says, handing him a plastic bag. "This one is for your group members."
"You're the best," Sehun replies, grinning as he opens the bag to see a clear box filled with a dozen multicolor cupcakes.
"I know," she says smiling as he gives her a hug. "Have a good day at practice, Sehun."
"I will," he replies. She pats the top of his head and he frowns, deciding to tip the scale.
As he walks back down the pathway to her house, he starts a mental countdown in his head, and he's surprised that he gets as far as the edge of the pathway to her house before he hears her say, "aren't you forgetting something?"
"I don't know," he says casually as he looks over his shoulder to address her. "But if I am, I'll just have to get come back for it later. I'm gonna be late."
He has at least another ten minutes before he'll be straying into late territory, and they both know it, but it works. The power shift is palpable and Sehun has to hold back a grin as she frowns at him. He waits another minute before he laughs and walks back towards her porch steps.
"I'm kidding," he says stopping in front of her. He leans down and she smiles, wrapping her arms around his neck and standing on her toes. They meet halfway, their lips touching and for a moment they're even.
"I love you, noona," he murmurs, pressing his forehead against hers.
"I love you too," she says with a smile before she pokes him on his nose. "Now go before you end up being late!"
Their previous dynamic has resumed, but Sehun doesn't mind. He merely laughs and promises to come back tomorrow.
