So I guess my brother has moved out. My mom is having her own private fit right now. She's extremely upset that he's leaving, but instead of telling him that, she tells him to never come back to the house ever again. My family needs to grow up

Very immature of your mum. Though she's wrapped up in her own emotions, and that I can understand, it's no way to react... she should have taken time to think about it before having any sort of response.
