hmmm...i'd say, cuz it takes more work to repair things. for instance, take a glass. all it takes to break it is to throw it down onto the ground. but, to fix it, it requires much more time, patience, and energy. cuz, not only to do you have to find all the pieces, but then figure out in which order they go, and somehow manage to glue it all back together. i think that's why most people end up throwing their glass [relationship/problem/etc] away and not bother with it again...
