Definitely not.

But from what I've heard, this isn't the ideal place to live in, what with not being able to leave and being able to be killed over and over again.

That this is supposed to be a town in America, the year is somewhere in the 1950s, there is no way of escape that we know of, there are brainwashed people called drones who act as if you've lived here all your life, and our possessions have been taken from us but will eventually be returned.
