[For the longest time, Bobby pretty much just sat staring at this. And the name attached to it.
He'd told himself he wouldn't reply, because just like Raven isn't really Mystique, this Charles Xavier wouldn't be the Professor. It can't be. The Professor is gone. But. He can't make himself stay away.
He sticks to audio, though, since he doesn't exactly trust himself not to give something away on video right now.]
I don't really think they care all that much about our opinion or our cooperation. So far we're pretty much on our own, unless you break something of theirs or something.
You're, um. Also probably not going to have much luck in the 'seeing yourself out' department.
[That - that sounds exactly like something the Professor Bobby'd known would say. He thinks it might have been, actually. Bobby'd sort of been expecting this Charles Xavier to be as different from the Professor as Raven is from Mystique, but. Maybe he's not.
Bobby's not sure if that makes this easier or harder.]
Me, too. But I knew a very great man, who helped show me that when I was really young.
And it's amazing, getting to see so many of them. Especially here, where I've yet to meet anyone who had anything but a positive reaction.
Yeah, it was. I don't know what I would have done without him, actually. He - helped a lot of people realize that. The world was a much better place because of it.
[And the grief is still fresh enough that Bobby can't stop some of it from slipping into his voice, though he moves past it enough to give a slightly wry smile at that next bit.]
This place is definitely unlike anything in my world, and not just because of the majority of people's reactions. I think it's unlike anything in most people's worlds, in both ways.
[Charles Xavier is offering him sympathy over the Professor's death.
What is his life.]
There's people here from all sorts of worlds, but a lot of them have people with some kind of abilities. And a lot of them seem to have the kind of world where revealing their abilities is mostly met with fear and suspicion. Aside from that, there's some pretty weird stuff here, weirder than anything I saw back in my world.
How this guy's even managing this whole kidnapping thing, for one.
[He nods at that. No sense in dwelling on the subject.]
Would you say the people with abilities outnumber those without?
[If so, that paints a rather grim picture. He folds his hands, his expression very thoughtful.]
I agree. The individuals I was with not an hour ago would certainly not have allowed a kidnapping attempt... and I have difficulty imagining anyone getting past them.
Maybe? I think I've met more people with abilities than without, but I've met a good number of people without them, too.
[It's...really hard not to ask him who he was with. Bobby's mostly only successful because he's not sure what he'd do with that knowledge.]
Same with me. Besides all the security measures we have, there's not much that could get past the people I live with. Most of them have fairly impressive abilities or their own.
Only that. But I wouldn't say only turning into steel if he were anywhere around.
[Not because he thinks Pete would use said turning into steel abilities or him, or anything. But Bobby knows all too well about the little cartoons Pete drew, and he definitely wouldn't be looking to give Pete more of an excuse to make him the subject of them.]

[He pauses. A pity Erik isn't here. If these people were all so supportive of mutations, that would certainly show his friend.]
[... Maybe.]
If that's true, then, perhaps this place is rather unlike anything in our respective worlds.

[He stays quiet for a minute, studying the young man.]
I'm terribly sorry. Though I can't imagine the sentiment does anything to ease your feelings, my sympathy stands.
[Aaaaaaand we're moving on.]
What do you mean by that, exactly?

[...and Logan is Logan. He's harder to explain, though he's probably one of the best security measures they've got.
And then there's the students, of course, though they don't have extensive training.]
