[She enters the library. A dog faithfully follows her.
Unfortunately, Charles will not get very much from her. He will probably get more from the dog. She would like some jam on fresh bread very much right now. It is a little cool outside. She needs to wash some clothes but she does not want to. Laundry is boring. But there is not much beneath these thoughts. And they are all in Portuguese.
She looks past Charles as she searches the library for Rem, but she does not immediately notice him.
There have been many new faces lately. There are too many that she does not know.]
[It's the dog more than anything, that gets his attention. He sort of does a double-take, and that earns her all his focus.]
[Portuguese? Now that's interesting. It's also a very... simple feeling. Which is unexpected.]
[He shuffles back a bit, testing something. How far can he retreat before he stops being able to sense her? Of course, he's paying so much attention to his impromptu experiment, that he neglects to notice he's backed up into a bookshelf with a thunk.]
*Sollux finds himself in the library rather often, though he rarely pays any attention to the books. He does, however, notice the strange human browsing. He mostly dismisses Charles, but hesitates a bit if the other moves closer at all. That usually leads to either danger or annoyance, in his experience.
Sensing Sollux's mind is probably not the best of plans, sadly, as any attempt will get partly 'blocked' by his own voices. So Chuck will be able to sense a lot of chaotic anger, fear and pain. If he can pick through that he can probably tell the troll is bored, annoyed and somewhat depressive, and on his way to play video games.*
*Sollux raises an eyebrow at the nod, but doesn't bother saying anything. Humans are weird, after all, but the action still makes him slightly suspicious of Charles. Not enough to say anything, though, as he just continues towards the elevator. If Charles is still around when he comes down a few hours later maybe he'll say something. Or maybe he'll just continue to ignore it.*
[Yes, Lily does enter the library! The library is quickly becoming one of her favorite places (besides the Green, of course!). Why? Because it has books. Lily, you see, is trying to Learn Things. After living underground with minimal education, everything is interesting - especially flowers.
Lily carries two or three books, all of them for children and all of them about plants. She's kind of scared of the big books with the big words she doesn't understand. Luckily, someone thought it was a good idea to use small words and pictures. That's great!
What might Charles find in this little mind? It's not at all hard to breach. Flowers, of course, but also flashes of raw emotion with no thoughts accompanying them. Happyfrustratedconfused A NANOSECOND OF ANGER annoyedcontentcurious. You'd have to be quick to catch that anger - it's so fleeting Lily herself doesn't notice it.
Lily busies herself by putting away her books (cleaning up is polite!) and searching for new ones to memorize.]
[The mood bouncing is somewhat throwing. He's tended to focus on reading adults. Or young adults. He doesn't remember being this chaotic as a child, but, then again, he was always sort of... special... in that respect.]
[The flowers, though. Those are nice.]
[He pokes his head out from around the bookcase, watching her for a moment, before speaking.]
[Lily jumps a mile. DANGERDANGERDANGER nanosecond of unfathomable rage no, just a guy. Lily's emotions return to normal with curiosity a bit amplified. She shoves the last book back in the bookcase and turns to Charles.]
Well, yeah. If somebody's looking for these, it makes sense that they should be where they're supposed to be, you know?
[Right... he'd startled her. That reaction was sort of understandable, if a bit over the top. His expression clouds up for a moment, before he shakes his head, and offers a smile in return.]
A darling name, to be sure. I've always been rather fond of lilies.
[Whether that's true or not... who knows? It's an attempt to put her more at ease.]
Charles Xavier, though, you're free to call me Charles, if you wish.
[The first thing Charles might pick up from Logan is a mass of memories that are not in sequential order. The second, most prominent thing he might sense is Logan wondering where someone named Mimmi was. :|a. She's not here, so he's turning to go. That is until his senses pick up a rather familiar scent.
[Honestly, he almost asks that aloud, before he realizes who it is he's sensing. And recalls an admonishment from the gruff individual. He'd rather not get on anyone's bad side, not yet, anyway. And not without reason.]
[... And then he's surprised again. Why is... he being... smelled?]
You know, there are simpler, and more socially acceptable ways of asking someone if they're present.
Logan turns to look at Charles. Wow...he looks nothing like Captain Picard Patrick Stewart the Professor X he met in the mansion. I think it's the full head of hair and lack of wheel chair.]
So it is you. I liked you better bald. [No he didn't.]
[Charles looks back at Logan -- or, rather... up. At him. He looks exactly the same as he did that day in the bar. Only he'd been sitting, so the fact that Charles Xavier is a tiny little guy didn't really register.]
And, despite the thinly veiled insult, I like my hair as it is, thank you.
[Books are awesome, even if they're about things Remy normally wouldn't care about. He notices the other person in the library and gives a nod instead of a hello. Libraries were normally supposed to be quiet after all. He goes to browse the shelves, looking for anything to pique his interest.
It's the thoughts on etiquette that are there first, followed by a memory of the last time he was in a library as big as this. He was younger, in the height of his education. He would often practice simple spells in the library. Anything to master to show his tutor that he was indeed practicing. He hated that fat old witch.]
[He'd almost assume this was some kind of joke, if it weren't for the fact he learned long ago to separate daydreams and fantasies from actual memories. There was talk of other worlds. Other universes. The thought that it could be true, considering this man's memories... well, it's interesting.]
[And so he edges a little closer, eyes on his own book. He's totally not trying to "listen". Not at all. That hand on his head? Just checking his hair.]

Careful. If you make a mess then you will need to clean it.

Ah, well then, I'll be sure to take care.

[After a quick brush, and a step or two backward to test the distance, he nods, and turns back to his book.]

Wait. There's no such thing as too paranoid. What if he knows? What if he's been hired by his family?
How could he know? There's no way. He's been way too careful.]

[But he's curious.]
I suppose we could either stand here awkwardly, or, at the very least, say hello to one another, as fellow prisoners.
