I'm sure I'm not the only one to have noticed this, but in the time that I've been here, I've noticed that new arrivals have always come in all together, a couple times a month. There have been very few, if any, instances of people arriving on their own-- I myself distinctly recall coming in with a group of equally lost and confused individuals. ( Read more... )

Yeah. You could say it's interesting.

I would wonder if it indicates some sort of limitation in the scientists' ability to transport people to and from their worlds, but there's no obvious pattern to when people leave, is there?

It's probably easier to bring a group of people at once instead of one at a time. Although I imagine once they've served their purpose here, they go home.

You believe we have a purpose here?

They always arrive in groups? Good to know.

Is there a schedule to it?

Not one that's known to the general population, but I wouldn't be surprised if the scientists have something drawn up.

You're a recent arrival, aren't you?

Is that so?

[She's going to be tracking this now, yes.]

The number of newcomers changes?

It's always a good large number, but I've never counted them.

The results might be interesting.

Have you noticed any other patterns?

Not as such, no.

It has been a pattern for some time now.

Since you arrived?

Yes.

And how long ago was that?

It's a pattern, but not a consistent pattern. As you say, some do not arrive with others. And the day of the week is often different.

Very true. Still, it's interesting to think about, isn't it?

Indeed it is.
