The magician who helped to create the Philosopher's Stone, betrayed the kingdom, and attempted to take over the world. Margarita has been assigned the task of retrieving the container that houses his soul from the Silver Star Tower and setting him free; if she fails, she will be burnt at the stake.

A sentient frog capable of speech, poisonous gas breath, and taking control of Margarita's body. He is both Margarita's magical familiar, her partner-in-crime, her worst influence, and a watchdog sent to make sure she toes the line.

(Professor) Gammel Dore
(( Headmaster ))
He's the principal of the Silver Star Tower Academy and the Glamour instructor who keeps watch over a sleeping Grimlet. Due to the efforts of him and the other teachers, Calvaros was defeated. He also rescued Margarita from her hometown, a village that persecuted magicians under the guise of witch-hunts. (However, there are hints that he was deceived to a certain extent and that it was arranged for Margarita to be brought under his wing.)

The Sorcery instructor, skilled as he is sharp-witted and a true neutral party unless his own survival is threatened. He's at the Academy to teach, not take souls....but he won't refuse any willing ones that come his way.

The Necromancy instructor, passionate to a fault. She is the apprentice of Lujei Piche and guards the soul container of Archmage Calvaros. Margarita fears the ghosts that Opalneria commands.

The Alchemy instructor and former apprentice to Archmage Calvaros himself. When he rejected the advances of Lujei Piche, she cursed him to have the body of a lion. However, he seems to regard it as a blessing as it allows him to concentrate more fully on his research.

The first friend Lillet made when she arrived at the Academy was Margarita. Although she doesn't know it yet from her current canon point- having just knocked the young witch unconscious in order to get away with taking the soul container of the Archmage -Lillet will be the one to bring Margarita out from under Calvaros' thumb.

A great magician in death as well as life, Lujei is now a terrifying ghost that roams the halls of the Silver Star Tower at night. Margarita's had a few close brushes with her.

Calvaros made a contract with this mighty devil in exchange for power, but both he and Grimlet were sealed before Calvaros could pay the price of his soul. For now, Grimlet sleeps within Gammel Dore's brooch.

Alice Margatroid

Not!Mother. Alice seems a bit stuffy, but she's pleasant enough to talk to and it was a nice surprise to find out that she also practices magic. Unfortunately, Margarita lied to Alice about her own abilities as well as secretly used the Post Office despite being warned not to....and even harbors some guilt over it. Margarita is, despite herself, worried because Alice was recently injured.

A motherly woman, at least at first glance. While Margarita is interested in her and has taken to bringing up magic when they talk, Surely is deeply suspicious of Ciel for how she behaved when Margarita's dragon hatched; she comes across as the type of person Margarita would be inclined to like and trust, and Surely can't afford for the girl to even think that she can rely on anyone other than him.

As of right now, Margarita and Caster have become allies- or rather, Surely and Caster have become allies. The frog has taken it upon himself to handle all "official" business with the witch. Although Margarita finds Caster friendly enough, it's unclear just how healthy the relationship will be.

Not the nicest guy around, but he's interesting enough and he's demonstrated magical ability in front of Margarita. She hopes that getting to know him will help her in some way; he's another person that she's lied to about the extent of her powers.

Maka is, apparently, a witch-hunter, which means that Margarita is already scared of her. However, Margarita is willing to lie about her own magical abilities and deny being a witch altogether because she thinks that Maka must be pretty powerful, and thus someone who can provide worthwhile protection. Plus, the other girl has actually been perfectly civil, which just makes things more confusing and silently awkward on Margarita's end. PS. WHY IS SHE A MAN NOW.

Margarita has yet to share a pleasant experience with Old Gregg; from almost being kidnapped by him during a "babysitter" phase, to being pinched by him in a shopping mall, to coming upon him putting up crosses in his yard and talking about how witches should be rounded up.....he's definitely no friend of hers. And yet she has the bad luck to keep running into the slimy fish man.

Cirno seems really, really childish, but Margarita is still interested in her because she's the first fairy she met that wasn't summoned from a Rune. It helps that she found Cirno's energy endearing, if also slightly exasperating, and she looks forward to talking to Cirno in the future.
