My aunt has been kind enough to offer to pick me up in Albany, then drive me to school the next day. Now, move in day is officially September

You get your aunt to drive you (and your stuff) to Marlboro as planned. You find your place to stay in Bratt (or Marlboro town. As you said, this is easy.) Now, the kicker here is that, sometime in between these two events, your stuff will be stored in your room. You won't have moved in early, and you won't be clogging campus (which, I think, is part of Ken's worry.)
Actually, the problem from Ken's point of view is that he has this past culture of moving in early and he's trying to quash it, because it makes everyone's life a little difficult. He's busy trying to get the new students acclimated to each other and their PAs, and the campus ready for the year, and he can't do that with 50-100 students moving in early.
So, there's that. Sound plan-like?
