GottaTatToo!

Here's pics of my new tat.

It's written in Sanskrit, which is the mother language of India. It says "ekam sat vipra bahuda vadanti agnim, yamam, matarasvanam ahuh" -- which translates to "the truth is one but called by many different names, such as Agni, Yama and Matarasvana." It's a verse from the Rig Veda, a sacred text of Hinduism.

I don't know which I like better... the tat or my posters.

Actually Sah, I have quite a running collection of posters I've picked up from Rasputin's. I'll bring a bunch home to you the next time I'm down in old SD.

SO did you get Tit for that Tat? Sorry I had to. I like the thoughtfulness you put into it. Well done. I would get one, but I lack the muscle mass quinticential to any tatoo.

Cheers bro!

Hahahaha... I love you Temple. God willing, let us always be able to share bad humor and sexual puns.

No tit for tat yet... but I'll keep ya posted my friend. Thanks for the encouraging words, and you should definately think about getting one for yourself too.

How about a golf club? FORE! ;)

I must say I was a bit taken aback by the sex appeal your new tattoo, and muscles ;)~ very cute and I know you put a lot of thought into it because I know you and the meaning of things and it's awesome. Weird seems like a lot of people are getting or thinking of getting tattoos lately, I for a second really thought about it myself. :)

I actually had a question. I know you are and are becoming this great poet and have probably studied a lot of work. Maria's Grandmother just passed away and she asked me if I knew of any poetry that she might consider reading at the funeral, and I just thought of you and wanted to say hi and without you going to ANY trouble, so please don't :)~, do you know of anything that relates to grandmothers or something close to it? Thanks! And happy tattoo healing! :) I hope you're doing well...

Yeah, tattoos are just becoming so much more common. I didn't think there was too much risk involved in getting one -- it's high up enough on my arm that I can cover it up if I need to look professional.

Thanks for the compliment, though. I think you'd look cute with a tat. ;)

As far as being a great poet, that's ridiculous. As far as finding a poem for Maria's grandmother's funeral, I'll see what I can dig up. What would be the deadline for that?

Please pass my condolences on to Maria and let her know she's in my thoughts.

Love,
Nick

Yeah I can't believe you did the underarm, I heard people do the other part of the arm but wait to do the underarm for another time, you brave one you!

Thanks for your thoughts for Maria, and the funeral is Monday so I assume she is already writing something up journal-like so probably by the weekend at the latest. But remember, no going out of your way, just if you know of anything lovely. I know we both got finals coming up. ;)

Miss you man when are finals over and your next trip home? I hope you're doing well and I'm sure we're both full of stories to engage one another with over coffee and cookies. :) Keep up your positive nature, it's one of my favorite things about you.

You know the feeling of getting a shot or blood drawn? The feeling is the same, except it's prolonged.

Most of it didn't feel too bad, but the underarm hurt like hell.
