[Status Update] Editing is a nightmare and I don't recommend it

So PTB (or whatever is the final title) is typed up, but editing it is turning into a nightmare. There are a few fight scenes in it, which aren't my strong suit, and some dark themes are explored but I'm trying to handle them in a way that lets the characters move forward and start healing instead of just dropping them into dark situations to be "

Hi! I've done the "try to fix this in the next chapter" thing in the past, so I think I'll just keep doing that. It's just hard to have more hateful messages than kind ones. But I'm starting to get over it, and I am planning on finishing FaC. I'll get back to it when this one shot is finished, but it'll take some time.

About editing: I know! It's so frustrating. Especially when I read a paragraph that I know could be written so much better but I can't. think. of. the. words. Ugh! Thank you for your kind words!

Mhm. Don't think of it as FIXING a problem because there may not be much fixing needed. It's not that you may have to FIX something as opposed to ... getting your audience used to it, getting them to not only understand but see things a little differently which may be the actual problem. Maybe they don't "get it" right away because they are just not familiar with what you are trying to do. In which case, the only way to FIX that is to expose them continuously to it. Get me? I can say this because I have read what you write and I know that you often write about very complex feelings. It's a fairly uncommon sight around here. So I don't think my theory is too much of a stretch. *Winks*

You're doing awesome and I'm sure you'll have no problems keeping it up. ^^
But yes. Editing. Ugh. I don't put nearly as much thought into my writing as you but when I get stuck, I find reading a bit of my favorite book tends to help with the word-fuddle. Try it. It could help.

Ah, yes, that's what I meant haha. Sorry about that. I also try to fill in some plot holes that way, or answer some questions.

And I might try that reading my favorite book thing. If only I could remember where I put it... hmm...

First of all, it's good to see you back after such a lo f while. It's a pity that people are giving you grief about your story...especially when you've already spoken about how important and personal it is to you.
Your writing is really amazing, and on a personal note I can tell you that I have really learned a lot from you and the things that you incorporate into your stories.
I will be eagerly waiting to read your new story too.

It's been so long, I know. Been busy with life. I've gone ahead and decided to continue FaC, given a few changes that need to be made considering recent events. But I'm still excited about it, so I'll get back to it eventually. I can't put this other fic down cuz otherwise I'll never pick it up again. Thank you for your words! I have a midterm on Tuesday, so wish me luck
