around 4:30/5 pm, i arrived at the staples center. flew into LAX that morning (HELLLLLLOOOOOOO LAX~!), snagged a hot dog at Pink's, and literally hit the venue.
I was a little nervous at first - the SONES and Cassies I'd met before were like, at troll wars with each other. there must've been something in the air, because I saw Cassies talking freely to SONES and vice-versa. there were fanboys and fangirls. A group of fans (mostly girls - two were white and tall and skinny rofl rofl rofl and one was tiny Asian) were dancing Sorry Sorry, Lucifer, Nu ABO, and then this ~diva~ guy runs in (too tall to be Key, sorry LOL) and does Run Devil Run bahahahahaahhaa.
I met a few people, chatted with them. ^o^/ we talked about ChansUNF (Chansung from 2PM) & I shared my theory on why Amber was in LA for so long (becuase they were curious). Learned f(x) has a colour - purple. I don't think it's an offshade, though. i'm kinda blind lmao.
They let us in around....6:45 I think? We passed through metal detectors, and they were measuring camera lengths (like the lens can't be bigger than 3.5 inches) to make sure & whatnot. I left mine in the car, since it's....a nice camera yo. one of the professional ones. I UPGRADED. So I was kinda down, but whatever. I was offered to hang around the VIP section (HOLY SHIT ALKJDKSJFNDKJFNDFKJNFKDJNKDJ), but politely declined because I really felt I didn't deserve it.
I half-assed the tickets (160$ within 5 minutes LOL), so I thought, "seeing them is enough and perfect."
The show started a bit late - 7:05 I think? Janie (Jaynie?) from Japan was the opening. she sung two songs, welcome us, and gracefully took the stage.
First up was Sunday; formerly of The Grace. She did a beautiful gorgeous ballad. next was...um, I think Dana? she sung a solo too, then did a duet with Sunday. it was beautiful.
f(x) kicked it right off with LA chA TA. Luna is FUCKING FIERCE in person, and Sulli cannot stop smiling for the life of her. Victoria is gracefully elegant but gooberish on stage, and surprisingly Krystal is VERY well/mild mannered. I didn't get any bitchy vibes from her, at all. They did a very quick MC, and Victoria spoke in Chinese about how excited she was to be in LA, at the Staples center for SMTOWN, and how happy she was to be part of it (someone who speaks Chinese, correct me if I'm wrong?).
They cleared the stage, and Krystal introduced her sister Jessica. Then they broke into a duet of Tik Tok (and all I could imagine was Key backstage, curling up his nose with an awesome "I rocked this, step down" face).
I do believe Chu~ was next. It was adorable, and the audience did the ai ku, ai kuu, ai ku ku ku part along for the most part. & then Krystal said "the person who wakes up" (omg, I know the line in Korean but I can't translate it for the life of me and I don't want to spell it :| ), "...MINHO. ;D" and then Minho, the BAMF that he is, comes out and starts rapping.
CUE PANDEMONIUM. as in screams, SARANGHAEYO, HWAITING, MINHO, HYUNG, OPPA, KYYYYYYAH, the works. and just as quick as he appeared, he left. f(x) resumed normally. I think after Chu came Nu ABO, and I was seriously wishing Amber would jump out. ;____; I don't know why she wasn't there. -snifflesniffle-

Ummm. I think SNSD came after f(x), and they opened right up with Run Devil Run. For the record, I'm NOT a SONE. I dislike Tiffany and Jessica strongly, and only have respect for Sunny (I think Yoona is overpromoted, and Yuri is overrated, but each to their own) in that group. However, seeing them...Sunny wouldn't stop eyesmiling, Jessica and Tiffany surprisingly don't look plastic at all.
Watching SNSD's routines is like cheer practice, I'm gonna admit. But I found myself singing and dancing along with Oh! and Gee.
After SNSD was SUPER JUNIOR. omg, they come out on stage and SHIT THEY'RE AMAZING. they take formation and launch right into Super Girl (Korean). AND ZHOU-MI WAS THERE. And then sometime during all this, Heechul did a performance with Henry Lau. HENRY FUCKING LAU. THE CANADIAN ASIAN VIOLIN GOD WAS ON THE STAGE ACTING BAMF AND HNNNNNGH. Heechul divas out onto the stage, and sings some magical song. idek. Then he looks at Henry and grins, and suddenly kisses him. like, it almost looked like with tongue too. I NEED TO UPLOAD A PICTURE OF HENRY'S BAMF VIOLIN. okay? okay.
Okay, I fucking BAWLED at the end. Like, as hard as Jonghyun was crying when they won for Juliette, only not as nosily. I left, and literally had to walk around to keep from shaking. I felt...I don't know...complete. Whole. My body was really light, and floating, and it felt like my soul was attached to that stage. Yesung's smiles, Onew's redic eye slits (he wouldn't STOP grinning, except for srs songs), Eunhyuk's smirk and Leeteuk's dimple flashing, Zhou-Mi's tall awkward koala self and how he was all "I am Zhou-Mi ^o^/", Henry's emcee & talking about how happy he was to be in LA, and Heechul's FAB. okay.
Pictures DO NOT DO THEM JUSTICE. I can't even say. Tiffany looks so fucking PLASTIC in half the shoots but on that stage, she is a natural goddess - I don't even LIKE her and I couldn't find a flaw on Fanyfany. Sunny was an adorable smily bunny. Jessica surprisingly was very very civil, and Hyoyeon looked a little nervous. Yuri/Yoona were all "^^".
There was fanservice - Ryeowook put his arms around Onew's waist and lightly hugged him (kinda dongsaeng/hyung relationship, maybe a little closer?), and Heechul kissed Henry.
EUNHYUK WOULD NOT STOP GRINNING. my beautiful jewel monkey boy ;____; Yesung...oh my god that man is just fucking gorgeous in person. THE CHARISMA HE RADIATES. I almost cried. UM AND THERE WAS A YESUNG JONGHYUN DUET. That was just...their voices. Okay. Their voices. They match perfectly and it's like...idek they must've been practicing together because it was flawless. FLAWLESS. then again I'm YeJong biased. :| EUNHYUK AND TAEMIN DANCE OFF. ENOUGH SAID.
However! BoA did have some mic trouble - she was doing Energetic (I think it was this one), and she had to stop while the track played and she goes "Ah...I can't hear my voice in my earphone? Ah? Ah? Um..." and she sounded so cute and like someone took a lollipop away from her. ;____; We cheered for her anyways and she started over, and apologized over again. a;lksdlsdfmsldkfmlsdf. she was so adorable about it and looked so fearful.
