Nikita 4.02 Dead or Alive (pic spam, spoilers)
This episode went by too quickly for me!!
Michael saves a bleeding Nikita (again!)
She wakes up on the plane that is Team Nikita's new base of operations.
Michael is, understandably, quite stilted towards her even though he must have carried her unconscious, bleeding body to the plane and must have been filled with relief but also heart-broken when he found her.
She learns from Birkhoff that Michael has not said anything about her while she has been away
Still, it's great to have the team back together again and solving the mystery of what Amanda and her cohorts are up to
Ryan figures out that they are using Evil Doubles to replace key individuals. Michael is rocking the vee-neck of Sardonic Sexiness
Amanda and the Shop are using Nikita as a not only a scapegoat for their plan, but also as a means to cause problems between the United States and Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Alex while in Mumbai has run into an old acquaintance ...
Amanda is also setting up Alex up as the third party that funded Nikita - it will be easy to prove given that Alex actually is funding Team Nikita. Team Nikita decides that they need to prove that the FBI Director is a fake. The first part of the mission requires a two-man team so Michael and Nikita are back in the field despite the Tension.
Their comms chatter sounds the same but there is a lot that is still unspoken between them - hence, Michael's eyebrows are even more sardonic than usual
Nikita lines up Michael in her sights
And shoots him so that Birkhoff can do his magic. Then they have to prepare to kill the fake FBI director. As usual they work beautifully together but there is so much tension ...
It's so typical Michael/Nikita that there are so many things that they want and need to say - but they cannot say any of them yet ...
Michael wears a disguise very similar to Nikita's disguise from the premiere
Amanda tries to foil their plan by revealing that the real Graham is alive and that she will kill him if they kill the double!
She asks Nikita if she is prepared to spill more innocent blood. When Graham finds out that his wife is dead, he tells Nikita to kill him - that Amanda is never going to let him free anyway ...
But Nikita can't do it...Michael does it. There is something tender and awful at the same time about the way he takes the trigger from her, his fingers closing around hers comfortingly for a moment.
Despite everything, he's still there for her and he's able to do what she cannot
At the end, Nikita tries to talk to him, walking past Ryan's multi-coloured whiteboard of weird
Michael/Nikita shipper hearts break all over the place as Michael tells Nikita that while he's there for her and the team, that he's there to fight Amanda and to fight for the team - he's not going to fight for them anymore.
I absolutely do not believe that this is the end of Michael/Nikita. Of course he still loves her - everything about him says that. His face, his eyes, his actions. He's just incredibly hurt and sick of Nikita always making the decisions for their relationship.
What secret is Birkhoff hiding???
