Here in Canberra, we've just made it through drought, bushfire, toxic smoke that took our air quality to horrific heights ... hail stones the size of golf balls .. torrential rains ... and now we're dealing with ... plague

Hey I just saw this post. I hope you're doing ok! Did you manage to move before the lockdown? I'm working from home and isolating because looking after an elderly mum - but if you've managed to make it here, let me know if you need anything! <3 The world has become a very strange place and it's probably even more disorienting if you're moving cities and jobs

Yes, I'm doing okay. I didn't end up moving - I have to get Australian Govt security clearance and we thought it would take a couple of weeks but it looks like it might be more like a month! So no moving anytime soon, I suspect.

However, once the clearance comes through, I probably will be working for Canberra, I just don't know if I'll be working in Canberra (at the time, it seemed like it was more likely much sooner, but a lot has changed in...gosh, not very long).

There's apparently also a 'working from home' option (amazing how that pops up when the alternative is 'not working at all'), but whether or not that means from Sydney or from Canberra, I have no idea!

I'll definitely let you know once everything happens, though!
