heh. you know. I had this whole post lined up about how it sucks to feel like you've been "passed by". I know some of you know what I'm talking about. But yanno, people move on in life. Me being busy and not reading posting I'm sure didn't remedy the fact. And while it took me a little bit to figure out why X or Y dropped me, etc. I've learned that ( Read more... )

Love Yosemite!! :) I'm jealous. I'm trying to talk Mike into getting us a cabin in Bass Lake or somewhere within an hour of the south entrance.
That hike is pretty intense. Good for you!
When I was really, REALLY little, I remember going to Yosemite for a Firefall. They don't do them anymore, and I'm pretty sure they only did it once or twice in my entire lifetime, but they used to build a large pile of embers at the top of El Capitan (or near there, in my memory) and then push all of those glowing embers over the side of the cliff...so, you got to see a "fire fall". It was an amazing contrast to the waterfalls.

Bass Lake is overpriced, I think. Or as I call it, Lake PG&E. :) I think you'd like the log cabins over at Shaver Lake however. It's GORGEOUS up there. and so cold.

I would love to see a firefall. Although my idiot self would pull my pants down, take a lighter and fart. over El Cap. hahahah.

I did metal before my current glasses but I went back to dark again this year. I like boys with dark rim glasses but then again i'm a nerd. :)
