On WNYC:

"Today Bush is going to Colombia, while Chavez continues to be a menace in nearby Bolivia."

Nearby? Maybe, except that Brazil, which is larger than the continental United States, is in the way. So it's like saying "Bush will be in Vancouver, British Columbia, while his enemy is in nearby Mexico."

Have you seen those "Thank you Venezuela" (We should love Chavez) Citgo commercials? I guess the administration has put an end to them because I haven't seen the same ones again.

Yeah they're still playing them up here. Maybe Chavez just doesn't love DC. :)

To be fair, Bolivia and Columbia are only about 500 miles apart at their closest points.

One wonders why Chavez doesn't continue to be a menace in adjacent Venezuela, though...
