[Movies] "But I wanted to love it!"

Are there any movies that you just wanted to love so bad but couldn't?

I wanted to love "Haunted Mansion" because that ride was so amazing. But I knew there were gonna be problems the minute Eddie Murphy was announced....

It doesn't hold up well. Loved it as a kid. Can pass on it now.

I loved the Godzilla movies. Even the sucky faux-zilla with Matthew Broderick. Here was a cool new monster, unencumbered with decades of nerd-critique like "Oh this one was too fat, his spines were wrong, and wtf with his eyes?" Crud. When the fleas scaped off his side are more interesting than the monster... blegh. Maybe it'll get better in the sequel/prequel reboot.

I really really really wanted to love the first Transformer movie because Beast Wars and such were a big part of my childhood tv addiction....and it sucked. Massively.

Then there was Chicago. I should have loved that movie. It came out after Moulin Rouge, though, and honestly, any movie musical after Moulin Rouge just doesn't measure up. That and Chicago's plot left MUCH to be desired....ARGH! The music was so GOOD! WHY did hte movie have to suck?!
