A world - or planet - is a bunch of chemicals, atoms, and dust that have formed over time to create a mass. This mass then pulls other atoms around it until it compacts and forms a planet over many many years. The planet then continues to form until you have what you have.

Sometimes they have moons too. Because they need to feel like a big brother. :)
