Guess nobody mentioned the part about this place where sometimes people just pop in and out of existence. [Although he's not sure that's what happens exactly and he knows it doesn't happen very often, he's going to just go ahead and phrase that in an unnecessarily unsettling way.]

I know this has happened in at least one other case. The person in question was fine and nothing was missing except, obviously, the memories of several days. While that is cause for alarm I don't think there is anything tangible you have to worry about.
