So we're in Alaska, happy and well. I start working next week and am excited to finally get to do the job I spent years preparing to do, right...but I know there was a LJ exodus and now a photobucket fall out and all I can say is crap. I don't have time for this but I'm going to see if I can find some way to restore the links for the screencap

Yeah I think a lot of ppl have flocked away. I honestly think I just leave this up so anyone who liked the fics have them but then again they are on ffnet too, but I hate that site LOL.

All is great. The boys found jobs quickly, and Ben and Mike are ready for fall semester. Well Brad is too but he's been up here so he's just continued on with life as usual.

Hope you are enjoying Alaska. I've always wanted to visit. My husband was an army brat and he says Alaska was his favorite place they lived. Good luck with your exams - I'll be thinking of you. Nice to hear from you and glad you and your family are doing well.

I'm still here and yes loving being back home! We bought a new house this summer, I finished my exams but work is busy. How are you and your family faring? We've got one about to finally graduate college next year and one who can't figure out his major so he keeps switching LOL. Oldest two are working okay jobs that pay most of their bills but they need to find something better, hopefully sooner so they can move out.

It's so good to hear from you!! I'm glad you guys are doing well. I'm great. I retired from teaching last year and keep my granddaughter three days a week. She's two, so she keeps me running and laughing. Her mom (my middle daughter) just finished her RN degree and is waiting to take the big test that actually makes her an RN. She just got promoted and is managing one of the offices for the heart doctors. My youngest started grad school at the U of Arkansas in Fayetteville last month and I'm missing her a whole bunch. Being a workaholic, she's a graduate assistant and is teaching for the online school for homeschoolers. My oldest is living in Las Vegas and working way below her potential due to some bad choices the last few years. But what do I know, I'm only mom (LOL).

I'm so thrilled to hear from you! I was just thinking about you the other day and wondering what you were up to these days. You must have "heard" my thoughts!!

Retired life sounds amazing! It'll be a while before I'm there but I'm looking forward to it.

Congratulations to your daughter. An RN is a tough path and not an easy career but I imagine it probably feels great to know you make a difference in people's lives.

I've got my two youngest still doing the college thing though one should graduate next December at the earliest. The oldest two are working full time in okay jobs but I'm trying to push them into a profession vs. just these casual jobs that do not have much future potential. One is seriously considering going into firefighting, the other I'm like you are already doing a bookkeeping job, go get a cert and make more money. He's not really motivated to do college or anything but that wouldn't take much time or effort and he could open up more jobs with one. We will see!

Glad some of us are still around. Sure miss those SGA days!

Yeah I think there was like two waves of people leaving. I honestly didn't read why or what, just didn't have time to care. I don't write at the moment but I still fan girl over shows and am glad to see the few people still around. I usually look at LJ once a week but it's pretty dead sadly. Glad to see another familiar face still here!
