We aren't really allowed to have longer nails at work. We're only allowed to have it an inch or so above the finger tip so I recently had to cut them and it's killing me.  I'm wondering if there are any cute styles that can be done for shorter nails. I've tried looking some up, but I couldn't really come up with anything

you should just try looking around YJA for maybe 3D nail sets that were created on shorter nails :) then you could get inspiration for what would look better. i'd definitely say keep the designs relative to the size of the nail; obviously a large design will look more proportional on a large nail and stubbier on a short nail. otherwise, i think plain french tips with a pink nail base can be very cute in itself.

When I said an inch or so I mean that the nail shouldn't be too high above the finger-tip. Maybe I should have said a few centimeters?

The second picture you posted is about the exact length that we're supposed to have, so I really appreciate it!

Yeah, I kind of argued with them for at least a few cm more and they gave me an okay but it still doesn't look like much to me, since I'm used to long nails.

Gosh, I've read this whole post and...the nails in malignita's post are sooo short. My fingers would feel naked.

I'm still going to post short nails...but they'll be a bit longer than that. I hope they help, though.

Right after I cut them, I felt naked. I couldn't really do things well since I was used to using my nails.

I was the same way when I cut mine XD Typing and everything was SO AWKWARD without nails... I hated it!
