This is for everyone who was listed in my email address book.  Some fucking shit bullshit virus or whatever it is stole and emptied my address book.  So now all of you are going to get the same email stating that it's from me that says "Hi" in the subject box.  Just delete it because it's not from me ( Read more... )

*hugs back* Thank you. Right now I'm going through all my emails and adding them into my address book again. I'm really happy that I never delete my friend's emails. Otherwise, I'd be fucked. It's just time consuming. But! I'm watching court tv while I'm doing it so not all is lost.

Yes, I do need to get a life, lol.

Oh shit, I got that one and I thought someone hacked into my address book.

Yahoo mail is a well-oiled machine.

Did you google to see what to do about it? Sometimes that can save a lot of hassle. Jon (my son) had some kind of malaware. Almost every site and forum I went to said to reformat the computer. I figured that if someone built a virus, someone else probably built something to take it apart. I found a program and voila! No reformatting because it worked. You should cruise google and see if you can get an answer that isn't so involved.

No. I didn't Google, but I changed my Yahoo password and I think that did it. Time will tell. If I get anymore emails from friends stating that they got it then I'll do more research. But, I think for now I'm good.

If you still have problems, then it is probably something that is self-replicating. So, you might want to do a search anyway. Use a phrase or something that is in the email for the search.
